The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a timer to break work into focused intervals—traditionally 25 minutes—called "pomodoros", separated by short breaks. After completing four pomodoros, you take a longer break. This technique helps reduce mental fatigue, improve concentration, and boost productivity by leveraging the brain's natural attention span.
Yes! Our Pomodoro Timer is fully customizable. In the Settings, you can adjust: Work session duration (default: 25 minutes), Short break duration (default: 5 minutes), Long break duration (default: 15 minutes), and the number of sessions before a long break (default: 4). These settings are saved locally so they persist across sessions.
100% Offline-Capable. Once the page loads, the timer runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. All your data—settings, tasks, history, and statistics—are stored in your browser's LocalStorage. No internet connection is required, and your data never leaves your device, ensuring complete privacy.
Absolutely! The Tasks Panel lets you create tasks with estimated pomodoro counts. When you set a task as "active," completed work sessions are automatically tracked against that task. You can see real-time progress (e.g., "2/4 pomodoros completed"), mark tasks as complete, or delete them when done.
Our timer provides comprehensive productivity analytics: Daily, weekly, monthly, and all-time pomodoros completed; Total focus time and break time; Tasks completed; Weekly activity chart showing your productivity patterns; Activity calendar (like GitHub's contribution graph); Current and best streaks for habit tracking.
For power users, we support these shortcuts: Space – Start/Pause timer, R – Reset current session, S – Skip to next session, M – Mute/Unmute sounds. These work anywhere on the page (except when typing in input fields).
Yes! When enabled in Settings, you'll receive: Sound alerts (a bell sound when sessions complete), and Browser notifications (desktop push notifications so you know when to take a break or resume focus, even if the tab is in the background). You can toggle these on/off anytime.
100% Private. All your data (settings, tasks, session history, statistics) is stored locally in your browser using LocalStorage. We don't use cookies, analytics trackers, or any external APIs. Your productivity data never touches our servers—what you do stays on your device.
