Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using 7Scribes Tools ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

Description of Service

7Scribes Tools provides a suite of online utilities including but not limited to:

  • Student productivity tools (word counters, GPA calculators, etc.)
  • Developer tools (code formatters, JSON utilities, etc.)
  • Security tools (hash generators, password strength checkers, etc.)
  • Calculators and conversion tools

Our tools primarily run client-side in your browser, meaning your data is processed locally on your device.

User Accounts

Registration

Some features require account registration. When registering, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

Free and Paid Services

Free Tier

Free users have access to basic tools with the following limitations:

  • Daily usage limits on certain tools
  • Advertisements may be displayed
  • Limited export functionality

Pro Subscription

Pro users enjoy:

  • Access to all tools without restrictions
  • No advertisements
  • Full export capabilities
  • Priority support

Billing and Cancellation

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Cancellation can be done at any time through your dashboard. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Transmit malware or harmful code
  • Engage in any fraudulent or deceptive activity

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by 7Scribes and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you create using our tools. We claim no intellectual property rights over the results generated by our utilities.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Accuracy or reliability of results
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

While our tools are designed to be helpful, they should not be relied upon for critical decisions without verification. Always double-check important calculations and results.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 7Scribes and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits or revenue
  • Loss of data
  • Business interruption
  • Any other intangible losses

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 7Scribes and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or website notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which 7Scribes operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be settled through binding arbitration or appropriate legal proceedings.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
